Franklin L. Dennis, Program Co-Chair, a partner with Barokas Martin & Tomlinson serves as outside counsel on business, corporate and project and construction matters. He practices in the areas of corporate, construction, telecommunications, construction finance, international and general business.
Dave Parker, Program Co-Chair, is CEO and founder of 9Spaces, a headquarters for business intelligence in China. Over the last 20 years, his career success has included both product and service industries, selling both tangible and intangible products in the technology market segments including hardware, software, and wireless. For the last 10 years he has held executive positions in IT services, software distribution and hardware
development companies, including founding roles and CEO/President at License Online, Inc.
Matthew D. Adler is a partner with DLA Piper LLP (US). His practice focuses on international and domestic securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity and venture capital fund formation and investment.
Michael Benjaminson, LCB, CCS, is President of Robert E. Landweer & Co., Inc., Customs Broker and International
Freight Forwarder. He is a licensed Customs Broker who
regularly works with importers, exporters and agents doing
business with Chinese companies.
Michael Burnap is Vice President and Manager of United Commercial Bank’s full service PNW International Trade
Operations. He has over 20 years experience in trade finance,
banking, electronic payments, and bank operations.
Christine Chen, is a marketing communications executive with two decades of award-winning experience in visual and informative media, shaping stories to resonate with the target audiences. Her work has been honored by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences with two Emmys and ten nominations, as well as a recent honor from the Washington State Bar Association. In 2007, the Obama campaign tapped her to emcee his public campaign kickoff in Seattle.
Ms. Chen is a Puget Sound Business Journal “40 under 40” honoree and the 2010 U.S. Small Business Administration Minority Champion of the Year. Clients include Expedia Corporate Travel, King Street Task Force (Chinatown ID), the Puget Sound Regional Council, World Vision, and the 2009 Seattle Mayor’s Small Business of the Year, Shen Consulting.
Allen D. Clark a partner with Davis Wright Tremaine LLP whose legal career with the firm has spanned 37 years, was
Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Shanghai office and acted as a
client advisor in China for 3½ years.
Spencer Cohen is the research manager for the State of Washington’s Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development (CTED) International Trade and Economic Development Division. He has an MA in China Studies and is concurrently working on a PhD in geography at the University of Washington.

candidates in technology and related industries.
David Mycroft heads Intellect USA (Intellect Consultancy Limited), and has over 20 years experience in the investigative
field. During a 15 year residency in Asia, he worked for many
Fortune 500 companies that had operations in Asia.
Tim Schipke is President and CEO of Export Finance Assistance Center of Washington (EFACW). EFACW was
created to assist Washington State companies with the export
finance, credit and payment risk aspects of selling overseas.
Jerry W. Schwartz, Director of Microsoft’s Office of International Affairs,
is responsible for strategy and execution management in relation to
Microsoft’s outreach and engagement with international governmental
leaders on issues of security, privacy and sustainability.
Gary P. Tober, a shareholder with Lane Powell PC and chair
