Ned M. Barnes, Program Co-Chair, is a senior partner at Witherspoon Kelley Davenport & Toole PS. He practices primarily in the fields of banking, corporate, and real estate law. He is currently a Fellow in the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America.

James S. Black, Program Co-Chair, is the supervising attorney for the Lukins & Annis PS Real Estate Practice Group. He also focuses his practice in the areas of Business, Estate Planning and Tax. He is listed in the Best Lawyers in America and has been identified as a “Super Lawyer” for four years by Washington Law & Politics.

Eric M. Steven, Program Co-Chair, Eric M. Steven PS, is a sole practitioner in Spokane with a practice emphasis in the area of landlord-tenant law and housing. He practices in the state and federal courts litigating cases involving administrative law, bankruptcy, commercial litigation, ejectment, eviction, fair housing claims, and a variety of other landlord-tenant issues.

Brian C. Balch is an attorney with Layman Law Firm, PLLP where his areas of practice include real property, commercial transactions, construction and property development. He has past experience in insurance defense matters, having handled professional negligence claims against realtors and title insurers, personal injury and defect claims against contractors, product liability actions, civil rights and premises liability actions, escalator and elevator accidents, and employment disputes.

John M. Bennett, CPM, is President and Chief Operating Officer for Black Realty Management, Inc. an NAI Black company, and is a principal in the company. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers; NAI Global’s Asset Services Council Leadership Board; the Washington Policy Center’s Eastern Washington Advisory Board; a former Chair of the Downtown Spokane Partnership, and is a Trustee and former Chair of the Spokane-Kootenai Real Estate Research Committee.

David R. Black, CCIM, CRB, SIOR,is CEO and a Principal of Black Realty, Inc.; Black Commercial, Inc.; Black Realty Management, Inc., and Black Management Services, Inc., all doing business as NAI Black. The organization specializes in the sales and leasing of retail, office, industrial, and multifamily properties; property, facilities, and asset management; consulting; and real estate development. Gordon Hester is Director of Commercial Management and a Partner at Kiemle & Hagood Company. He is a licensed REALTOR® and has worked in commercial property management, sales, and leasing for nineteen years. In addition to overseeing the management and leasing operations of the Chase Financial Center, he oversees the regulatory compliance, safety planning, and general operational issues in the Commercial Property Management Division, and oversees the operations of K&H Facility Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kiemle & Hagood Company.

Bruce C. Jolicoeur, MAI, is a real estate analyst, appraiser, and consultant with Auble Jolicoeur & Gentry in Spokane, Washington. He has been with the firm since its inception in 1984 and was named president in 2010. His practice focuses on condemnation, litigation support, and on urban properties including market rent and rent restricted multi-family housing, retirement communities, hotels/motels, development properties, and various income producing properties throughout the Inland Northwest.

Nicholas R. Knapton, MACC, CFF, ABV, CPA, Nicholas Knapton PS, specializes in taxation, valuation, and attestation services. He is Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a Principal of his own firm and has worked for over a decade locally in Spokane in the field of public accounting.

Timothy M. Lawlor is a principal with Witherspoon Kelley. He practices in the areas of commercial, labor and employment, eminent domain, and class action litigation. He has successfully represented clients in a wide variety of complex commercial disputes. He has successfully defended class actions in Wisconsin, Washington, and California.

Ian Ledlin is Principal at Phillabaum Ledlin Matthews & Sheldon PLLC, he has an extensive bankruptcy background in both creditor and debtor rights. He is the former Standing Chapter 13 Trustee and a Panel Chapter 7 Trustee for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Washington.

John H. Loeffler is a founding member of the firm Olson Loeffler & Landis PS. His practice encompasses all phases of litigation, with emphasis on civil litigation and commercial and residential real estate litigation. He also practices in business transactions, estate planning and landlord tenant issues including commercial and residential lease preparation and negotiation.

Mark Pinch, CCIM, is a developer with NAI Black. He serves users and investors in acquisition and disposition; tenant representation; property, asset and facilities management. He holds degrees in Accounting, Economics & Business, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Spencer A. Stromberg is co-founder of Sullivan Stromberg PLLC and licensed to practice in both Washington and Idaho. His practice focuses on business and real estate law, including asset and real estate purchase and sales transactions.

Peter W. Wong is principal of Peter W. Wong Associates, Inc., an affiliate of INTERVEST-Mortgage Investment Company. His career in commercial real estate mortgage lending spans 30 years.
