Bruce P. Babbitt, Program Co-Chair is a founding member of Jameson Babbitt Stites & Lombard PLLC. His practice involves construction law, litigation and government procurement, where he represents contractors, subcontractors, public agencies, owners and design professionals, in negotiations, claims and bid protests. He also acts as a mediator and arbitrator, and is listed as a “Super Lawyer” in Washington Law & Politics.

Paul R. Cressman, Jr., Program Co-Chair, is a founding member of Ahlers & Cressman PLLC, where he co-chairs the firm’s Construction Industry Practice Group. His practice involves the representation of general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, owners, and design professionals. He has been named a “Super Lawyer” in Construction Litigation by Washington Law & Politics 2001-2009.

Erika S. Baurecht, Jameson Babbitt Stites & Lombard PLLC, focuses on construction transactions, the purchase, sale and development of commercial real estate, commercial leasing, condominium conversions, project financing and security transactions.

Stanton P. Beck is a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Construction Services Group at Lane Powell PC. He serves as panel counsel for owners, design firms, insurers, product manufacturers and professional organizations.

A. Richard Dykstra is a shareholder at Stafford Frey Cooper. For 30 years, his practice has focused on issues of insurance coverage and good faith claims handling. He has served as coverage counsel for Puget Sound real estate developers, advising on liability coverage for claims against them.

David K. Eckberg, CE, is a principal at Skellenger Bender PS. His practice emphasizes corporate affairs and commercial transactions, environmental law, construction law and representation of design and construction firms doing business in the environmental industry.

Alexander A. Friedrich is a partner with Yusen & Friedrich where he practices surety and fidelity bond defense. He is a member of the Liens and Security Interests Committee of the Washington State Senate Lien Task Force.

Margaret P. Montgomery, AIA, LEED AP, is a Principal at NBBJ, and serves as NBBJ’s firmwide sustainability leader, managing various sustainability initiatives and informing long-term strategies for greening the practice.

Karin L. Nyrop is an Asst. Atty. General at the University of Washington Division of the Attorney General’s Office. She represents departments at the UW, specializing in contracts, bid protests, claims, retainage matters and construction litigation, and athletic department legal advice.

Douglas Roach, Ahlers & Cressman PLLC, his practice has emphasized resolution of complex commercial and construction disputes through litigation in state and federal courts, and through mediation and arbitration.

Quanah M. Spencer is Of Counsel with Williams Kastner PLLC, where his practice is focused on public policy in both the local and national arenas.

John A. Strait is an Associate Professor of Law at Seattle University School of Law. He maintains a private practice as a consulting expert in legal malpractice and professional responsibility.

John D. Sullivan, LEED AP, is a partner with Short Cressman & Burgess PLLC, where he chairs the firm’s Sustainable Development Practice Group. He has been named a “Rising Star” by Washington Law & Politics magazine.
