Matthew D. Wells, Program Chair, is a partner with K&L Gates LLP. His practice centers around environmental and land use law counseling and litigation, and emphasizes marine and fresh water issues. He has nearly 15 years of experience representing public and private clients on issues related to water rights and water quality, infrastructure project environmental review and permitting.
Susan Adams, Executive Director of Washington Water Trust, has over 20 years of executive management, policy development, facilitation and negotiation experience with private, public and nonprofit organizations working on natural resource issues.
Robert Barwin, PE, is an Environmental Engineer in the Water Resources Program of the Washington State Department of Ecology. His current position involves working with Washington Water Trust and Trout Unlimited to acquire water rights for environmental purposes.
Maia Bellon is an assistant attorney general for the Washington Attorney General’s Office representing the Department of Ecology’s Water Resources Program before the Pollution Control Hearings Board, superior and appellate courts.
David Brown is the Water and Irrigation Division Manager for the City of Yakima, Washington. He worked and trained in the water and wastewater field in the US Air Force from 1972 to 1981, and has written and taught many water-related training courses.
Carl Einberger is a Senior Consultant and a licensed hydrogeologist with Golder Associates, Inc., responsible for multidisciplinary water resource project planning, management, and technical support. He has worked as a consultant in Washington State for over 20 years.
Tadas A. Kisielius, an attorney with GordonDerr LLP, counsels public and private clients on issues pertaining to land use, water, and environmental law. His water law practice includes permitting of new appropriations, transfers and changes of existing water rights, and water rights transactions.
Tom McDonald, an attorney with Cascadia Law Group PLLC in Olympia, has spent many years representing farmers, industries, municipalities and utilities in matters involving water resource management, water rights and water quality, and the Endangered Species Act.
Thomas Ring is a hydrogeologist with the Water Resources Program of the Yakama Nation. He has held this position since 1990 and, in that role, has worked on a variety of projects involving groundwater and surface water quantity and quality, water rights, irrigation and fisheries issues and planning for future water needs.
Harry Seely, a principal with WestWater Research LLC, has 14 years experience in agricultural and water resource economic analysis. Over the last decade, he has applied mathematical programming and econometric analysis techniques to estimate the value of water.
Jill Van Hulle, a Water Resources Specialist with Pacific Groundwater Group, brings a wealth of experience from her 15 years as an Environmental Specialist with the Water Resources Program at Washington Department of Ecology
