K. Christopher (“KC”) Branch, Program Co-Chair, is the owner of winelaw.net/KC Branch Firm, which he founded in 1996. He has practiced law in the State of California for over 20 years. He represents entrepreneurs, corporations, LLC’s, trusts and partnerships. He actively teaches professionals and students at regional wine forums, local colleges and major wine universities in France and California.

James W. Terry, Program Co-Chair, a Director with Dickenson Peatman & Fogarty, has represented buyers in numerous vineyard acquisitions throughout California. His wine industry-related practice also includes business entity selection and formation, and business planning, particularly in relation to family succession issues, sales and acquisitions, grape purchase agreements and vineyard leasing.

Thomas S. Adams is Senior Counsel with Dickenson Peatman & Fogarty in the firm’s Land Use department. He is also the firm’s lead legal consultant on some of the North Coast's largest and most controversial vineyard projects.

Rick Boland, Senior Business Consultant with Moss Adams LLP, has over 25 years of senior level executive experience providing financial and operational leadership and consulting advice to companies across a variety of industries.

Matthew D. Botting was appointed General Counsel with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control in 2008. He was ABC's Chief Legal Counsel from 2000– 04 before he left a short time to work in private practice.

Richard Brockmeyer, Owner of Wine Industry Investment Consulting, has over 35 years of experience in acquiring, developing and managing orchards, vineyards and wineries. Since 1986, his focus has been on the acquisition, creation and expansion of premium vineyards and wine estates.

Coral E. Brown is Co-Owner and Director of Brand Management at Brown Estate Vineyards LLC, which she owns with her siblings Deneen and David. In 1980, their parents purchased property in the Chiles Valley and soon thereafter planted their first ten acres of Zinfandel.

Amelia Morán Ceja is President and Owner of Ceja Vineyards. In 1999, she became the first Mexican-American woman to be elected president of a winery. She has created more than 100 video blogs since 2008 on preparing Mexican cuisine and pairing it with wine.

Suzanne DeGalan, an attorney with Hinman & Carmichael LLP, was previously a publishing executive and book editor with experience in food, wine, and travel publications. Her current practice supports the firm's marketing, distribution, and trade practice counseling practices.

Sandra J. Dickerson, CEO and HR Director of Your People Professionals, has been involved in the Professional Employer Organization industry since 1987. She has specialized in ensuring the quality of human resource services provided to clients and employees.

David B. Gaw, a Co-Founder of Gaw Van Male, chairs the firm’s Estate Planning Department and Wealth Planning Group. He is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Law, designated by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.

Tracy K. Genesen, a partner with Reed Smith LLP, directs a variety of complex multi-district federal court litigation focusing primarily on constitutional law matters, with particular focus on challenges to state alcohol regulatory statutes. She currently serves as General Counsel to Edrington Americas, the American arm of a Scotland based manufacturer of distilled spirits.

Cody Jennings,,/B> a Vice President with Zepponi & Company, plays an active role in the firm’s transaction review and assessment processes, performing business valuations and working directly with clients to develop strategic marketing materials.

Cherelle Johnson is a Trademark and Contracts Paralegal with Delicato Family Vineyards. She leverages her legal expertise to help bridge the gap between the creative whims of marketing and the complex legal universe that is intellectual property.

Jerry R. Jolly is a consultant for Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, assigned to the firm's Wine, Beer and Spirits Law practice. Prior to joining Pillsbury, he served as Director of the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.

Erik Lawrence, Associate General Counsel with Trinchero Family Estates, previously practiced law with Dickenson Peatman & Fogarty and Shartsis Friese. Prior to that, he was a commercial banker with Wells Fargo for six years.

Katja Loeffelholz, an attorney with Dickenson Peatman & Fogerty and a member of its Intellectual Property practice group, focuses on counseling and representing clients on trademark, trade dress, copyright and related issues.

Paul Mabray, Chief Strategy Officer of VinTank, drives the company’s overall vision, strategic direction and product development, and is the main contributor to clientele projects. VinTank is a continuation of his desire to help revolutionize the wine industry through e-business and innovative digital products and marketing.

Michael Maher is Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Jackson Family Wines. He previously served as Corporate Counsel and Vice President, Legal and Regulatory Affairs at Jackson Family Wines, and as Associate General Counsel at Trinchero Family Estates in Napa.

Ian Malone, Senior Vice President with Maher Advisors, specializes in advising wineries, vineyard owners and craft beer companies on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and other strategic matters. He is a 10-year wine industry veteran.

John McDowell is Deputy Planning Director with the Napa County Planning Commission. The Commission holds public hearings and makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors concerning updates and amendments to the County's General Plan and Zoning Code.

Richard P. Mendelson, is Of Counsel with Dickenson Peatman & Fogarty and chairs the firm’s Wine Industry Group. He is an internationally-recognized expert on vineyard and wine law and related land use, intellectual property, business and administrative law issues.

Ken R. Minami is Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Constellation Brands, Inc. His primary areas of counseling currently focus on marketing and promotions, support of the national sales force, international, and government affairs.

Sophia Montes is Vice President of Marita’s Vineyard, a family-owned vineyard that began in 2001 and currently produces two wines, their top tier Marita’s Vineyard and their second label, Soma. They typically make approximately 200 cases of each wine annually.

Carlos Nuñez, President and CEO of Target Productions in Dallas, Texas, applies his creative and cinematographic skills creating, implementing, and executing awareness and advertising campaigns in various markets and languages.

Susan F. Petrovich, an attorney with Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP, counsels in environmental law, land use and real estate. She has a particular emphasis on state and federal permitting and agricultural law, including vineyards and wineries.

Jeffrey Redding is the Owner of Land Use Planning Services, an environmental consulting business, since 2001. He serves on the Preservation Napa Valley Board of Directors and was previously Director of Conservation, Development and Planning for the County of Napa.

Paul W. Reidl, Owner of the Law Offices of Paul W. Reidl, has been practicing law for over 30 years. He currently represents clients in trademark, copyright, alcohol beverage and general business law matters.

David Rippentrop is a Senior Managing Partner with America’s Executive Beverage Consultancy in Vancouver, Washington. He has 30 years of top sales results, and experience in national and international sales, marketing, and executive level management.

Brian Russell, an attorney with Abbott & Kindermann LLP, advises clients in legal matters affecting the beverage industry including business formation, state and federal beverage licensing and permitting, construction and design and environmental and natural resource issues.

Judith M. Schvimmer, Vice President and Legal Counsel with Jackson Family Wines, manages the company’s brands and other intellectual property assets, and tests the company’s products for consistency and quality.

Kristen Techel, a partner with Strike & Techel LLP, is a specialist in the nationwide advertising, promotion and marketing of alcoholic beverages, including sweepstakes, contests, discounts and coupons.

Gregory J. Walsh is Co-Managing Director of Dickenson Peatman & Fogarty and lead Director of its Labor and Employment Group. He is also a member of the firm’s Wine Law and Litigation groups, representing clients in administrative and court proceedings.

Jolene A. Yee is Vice President and General Counsel with Delicato Family Vineyards. Her practice encompasses all aspects of winery operations including domestic and cross-border commercial transactions, trademark, M&A, policy analysis and development, and general corporate representation.
