Seminar Overview

This seminar will cover topics directly relevant to Alaska’s recreational marijuana laws and those regulations issued by the State’s Marijuana Control Board including, but not limited to, residency requirements and restrictions on ownership and investment. It will focus on business perspectives, including local perspectives on legalized marijuana, local law and compliance issues, and it will provide practical advice for potential marijuana business operators, attorneys, and associated service providers.

Attendees will hear directly from leading practitioners and advisors about the changes and progress as the regulatory process unfolds. The seminar will also address issues including access to banking and securities law issues, taxes, intellectual property and brand protection, developments with tribal marijuana, and the ethical issues that arise when practicing in this new industry.
