Robert E. Ferencik, Jr., Program Co-Chair, is a member of Ferencik Libanoff Brandt Bustamante & Goldstein PA. He focuses on construction claims, bid protests, construction litigation, commercial litigation, construction products liability litigation; and architects, engineers, and professional liability claims and defense.
Scott P. Pence, Program Co-Chair, a shareholder at Carlton Fields, is a member of both the Real Estate & Finance Practice Group and the Construction Practice Group. He is Board Certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar and focuses on representing developers, owners, contractors, subcontractors and design professionals.
Hardy L. Roberts, III, Program Co-Chair, is a shareholder with Carey O’Malley Whitaker Mueller Roberts & Smith PA. He is a trial lawyer who represents a diverse clientele in complex construction and real estate finance disputes. He has a strong interest in the use of technology and project management skills to efficiently represent clients.
Kelly Carey Bagge is an attorney with Carey O’Malley Whitaker Mueller Roberts & Smith PA. Her practice focuses on construction litigation, commercial litigation, and the regulation of contractors, architects, and engineers in Florida. She holds a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and earned her J.D. from Tulane University.
Debbie Sines Crockett is a shareholder at Cheffy Passidomo PA. She concentrates in construction disputes & litigation, insurance coverage, and commercial civil litigation from the trial level through appeal, in state and federal courts. She is experienced in representing policyholders of various insurance policies against carriers.
Paul J. Del Vecchio is the Founder and Principal of Paul J. Del Vecchio Construction Consultants, Inc. For over 19 years he has provided construction consulting, arbitration and mediation support as well as expert witness testimony to an array of clients which include owners, law firms and their clients, sureties, insurance companies, and state agencies.
David E. Gurley is the principal shareholder of Gurley & Associates, and Florida Board Certified in construction law. His practice for the last 35 years has concentrated on the construction and design of private/public development projects. He also counsels clients in the avoidance and resolution of construction and bond claims.
Reese J. Henderson, Jr. is a shareholder in GrayRobinson PA and is a board certified construction attorney with the FL Bar. He has more than 20 years of experience handling construction-related matters for owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, materialmen, sureties, manufacturers and condominium associations.
J. Derek Kantaskas is a partner at Sivyer Barlow & Watson PA. He is a construction litigator who represents a diverse clientele in complex business disputes. He has experience counseling and representing construction clients during contract negotiation and formation, throughout a project, and litigation proceedings.
Edward J. Kinberg is a member of Stewart Law. He assists individuals and businesses with issues involving contracts, formations and disputes, construction issues, bid protests, interpreting terms and conditions, and litigating simple or complex disputes before Federal Courts, Florida Courts, Federal Agencies and State Agencies.
Michael J. Kurzman is a shareholder with Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman PL. For the last 30 years, he has practiced exclusively in construction law, focusing on contract drafting & negotiation, construction claim litigation, construction defect and delay claims, contract claims, construction lien claims and surety bond claims.
Hon. Howard O. McGillin, Jr. is a Judge with the Seventh Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. Prior to taking the bench, he served in the Army, retiring in 2005 as a full Colonel. He was in private practice from 2005-2014 when he was appointed to the Bench as a Circuit Judge. He ran for, and was elected to, a full 6-year term in 2016.
Gregory Newman is the Managing Director of Banks OZK’s Real Estate Specialties Group. He also serves as Executive Vice President of loan originations. Greg previously worked as Director of Capital Markets for Cohen Financial where he advised real estate owners and developers on potential capital structures for current real estate projects.
Elena Otero is a transactional attorney at Holland & Knight LLP. She practices in the areas of real estate, finance and banking law, with a focus on commercial real estate and commercial lending transactions. She counsels financial institutions and lenders in commercial transactions, including construction and permanent real estate financing .

She has practiced construction law in Florida for twenty-six years and has been certified by the Florida Bar in construction law since 2005. She specializes in construction law and practices construction law before administrative, civil, criminal and appellate tribunals.
Gilbert K. Squires is the managing member of Squires International Law PLLC, and an international arbitrator and attorney. He serves as an arbitrator, advocates in Global Arbitration Tribunals, and has mediated multimillion-dollar domestic and international claims. Additionally, he litigates and practices in State and Federal Courts.

George R. Truitt, Jr. is the managing partner of Cole Scott & Kissane PA’s Construction Group, which is dedicated to the counseling and litigation of construction-related matters. For the past twenty-six years, he has devoted his practice to construction litigation and risk management. He is a Board Certified Specialist in FL Construction Law.
